Giant animals smashing up cities? Sounds like a good time.
We’ve all heard about the curse of videogame movies. No matter who they attach or how they approach the material it never seems to work well enough together. If there is one actor who could accomplish the feat of making a good videogame movie it would be Dwayne Johnson. That’s what he will attempt with Rampage, a new disaster film based on the classic videogame.
Along with the director of San Andreas, Dwayne Johnson will once again tackle the genre of the disaster movie. But this isn’t just any old disaster film, this one features animals that have been mutated to giant size. Dwayne Johnson is Davis Okoye, who apparently likes spending more time with animals than people. In the year 2017, who could blame him. One of his favorites is a gorilla named George, who Okoye rescued when the gorilla was two years old. When a mysterious artifact lands on Earth, it has strange effects on George, making him grow to an incredible size. George isn’t the only animal affected by the artifact as other animals have grown to monstrous size, as a wolf and crocodile have also grown.
