On this week’s episode of Shot by Shot, the official cinematography podcast of One Perfect Shot and Film School Rejects, we’re discussing the most talked-about film of the year so far, Jordan Peele’s Get Out, a social thriller that stunned audiences worldwide and has become the first debut feature by an African-American director to gross north of $100 million. Get Out was shot by cinematographer Toby Oliver, and as does the script, the film’s visual aesthetic borrows from the tropes of horror, comedy, sci-fi, and thrillers, but with unique flourishes that make them all the film’s own.
