"It could have been a wonderful child." 20th Century Fox has released two very creepy new promo trailers to give the original sci-fi movie Morgan one final push before it opens in theaters next week. Kate Mara stars as an expert called in to "determine whether or not to terminate an artificial being's life that was made in a laboratory environment." The cast also features Anya Taylor-Joy as "Morgan", Toby Jones, Rose Leslie, Boyd Holbrook, Michelle Yeoh, Jennifer Jason Leigh & Paul Giamatti. These two trailers start out all nice and happy, looking back at the growing-up stages of this "thing's" life, before it turns evil and goes all psycho on the people from the lab where it's living. Color me intrigued. I really want to see this.
Here's the two short new promo trailers for Luke Scott's Morgan, direct from Fox's YouTube:
You can still watch the first teaser trailer for Morgan here, as well as the full theatrical trailer here.
A corporate troubleshooter (Kate Mara) is sent to a remote, top-secret location, where she is to investigate and evaluate a terrifying accident. She learns the event was triggered by a seemingly innocent "human," who presents a mystery of both infinite promise and incalculable danger. Morgan is directed by up-and-coming filmmaker Luke Scott, the son of director Ridley Scott, making his feature debut after a few short films previously. The screenplay is written by Seth W. Owen, along with Luke Scott. It's produced by Ridley Scott, Michael Schaefer, and Mark Huffam. 20th Century Fox is planning to release Luke Scott's Morgan in theaters starting on September 2nd later this year.
