"You're not a bad man, and I'm glad we're friends." Paramount has debuted the trailer for a drama called Same Kind of Different as Me, adapted from the memoirs of Denver Moore, Ron Hall & Lynn Vincent, about the lives of three people bound together by fate and friendship. The film stars Renée Zellweger in her first major role (aside from Bridget Jones's Baby) in years, Greg Kinnear, and Djimon Hounsou; along with Jon Voight, Olivia Holt, Ty Parker and others. This looks like an emotional, heartfelt story of friends and family, but some of it looks pretty bland and melodramatic. They're also dumping this during the Oscar season meaning it's not that great, but at least Djimon Hounsou looks exceptional. Give it a watch.

The film tells the story of an international art dealer Ron Hall (Greg Kinnear) who must befriend a dangerous homeless man (Djimon Hounsou) in order to save his struggling marriage to his wife (Renée Zellweger), a woman whose dreams will lead all three of them on the most remarkable journey of their lives. Jon Voight plays Hall’s father, with whom he reconciles thanks to the revelations of his new life. Same Kind of Different as Me is directed by Michael Carney, making his feature directorial debut with this after a short film previously. The script is adapted by Ron Hall, Alexander Foard and Michael Carney. Paramount will release Same Kind of Different as Me in theaters starting February 3rd, 2017 early next year. Interested?
