Extended TV Spot Revealed for Disney Animation's Musical 'Moana'

Disney's Moana Extended TV Spot

"Let's save the world!" Disney debuted a new extended TV spot for the musical Moana during their Rio Olympics coverage. This musical is the latest from Disney Animation and co-directors Ron Clements and John Musker (of The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Hercules, The Princess and the Frog) and is an adventure about a kick ass Hawaiian princess named Moana. We also finally get a good look at the big villain, the Lava Witch, who seems pretty gnarly in this. Auli'i Cravalho voices Moana, and the rest of the cast includes Dwayne Johnson, Alan Tudyk, Phillipa Soo, Temuera Morrison, and Jemaine Clement. So this looks like it might actually be really good, with lots going on in the story. What are those coconut monsters?!

Here's the new extended TV spot for Clements & Musker's musical Moana, direct from YouTube:

You can still see the first teaser trailer for Disney's Moana here, plus the international teaser here.

Princess Moana is a daughter of the chief of her tribe, Coming from a long line of navigators she sets off for a fabled island with her hero, the demi God Maui. Along the voyage they battle the treacherous ocean and all which it hides, all the while learning what the power love between friends can accomplish. Renowned filmmakers Ron Clements & John Musker (The Little Mermaid, Aladdin) are directing the CG-animated comedy-adventure. Clements & Musker's last three animated films include The Princess and the Frog, Treasure Planet and Hercules after the original era of Aladdin and Little Mermaid. Disney will be releasing Clements & Musker's Moana in theaters starting Thanksgiving week, on November 23rd, 2016.
