"The ones who are the real danger are the self-contained types like you…" StudioCanal UK has unleashed a beautiful new teaser trailer (after this viral introduction to the building) for Ben Wheatley's adaptation of J.G. Ballard's acclaimed 1975 novel High-Rise, about a luxurious self-contained, high-rise apartment building that represents the various socioeconomic classes of society from top to bottom. Tom Hiddleston plays Dr. Robert Laing, the man at the very top. The cast includes Luke Evans, Sienna Miller, Jeremy Irons, James Purefoy, Elisabeth Moss, and Keeley Hawes. The film also features a score by Clint Mansell, and has earned great reviews out of festivals so far. This teaser totally sells me, love the music.

For more updates on High-Rise, follow the film here: @HighRise_movie. It opens in the UK this spring.
High-Rise is directed by British filmmaker Ben Wheatley (Down Terrace, Kill List, Sightseers, A Field in England), from legendary producer Jeremy Thomas (The Last Emperor, Sexy Beast, A Dangerous Method, 13 Assassins, Kon-Tiki, Only Lovers Left Alive), and written by Amy Jump (Kill List, A Field in England). It's based on J.G. Ballard's acclaimed 1975 novel of the same name: "When a class war erupts inside a luxurious apartment block, modern elevators become violent battlegrounds and cocktail parties degenerate into marauding attacks on 'enemy' floors." The film first premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, and also played London and Fantastic Fest this year. Magnolia Pictures will release in 2016 in the US, stay tuned.
