"Sometimes I think it would be better if we just couldn't feel…" Are you ready for this? Can you handle another emotional drama about the hardships of life? Jimmy Kimmel has debuted the trailer for Crying in a Sweater, a new indie film starring Kristen Wiig. This "extremely independent" films is already earning Oscar buzz, all for the emotionally devastating and totally reborn performance by the remarkably talented Kristen Wiig. No, but really, this is a funny joke trailer that does a good job of showing just how goofy the awards season can be. And we've only begun. I'm not sure why they chose Michael Bay to direct it, though?
Here's the first official trailer for Kristen Wiig's Crying in a Sweater, from Jimmy Kimmel's YouTube:
Description for the Crying in a Sweater trailer from YouTube: "Kristen Wiig debuts the trailer for her new, extremely independent movie. #CryingInASweater." This was a segment produced for the Jimmy Kimmel Live show, during Kristen Wiig's guest appearance on the show. Introducing the segment, Jimmy Kimmel says that it's "interesting that you go back and forth between these big budget and small budget movies." It's a fun segment that pokes at the emotional gimmickry of some Oscar bait films. Nice work by Kimmel/Wiig.
