"It's an honor to be part of the process." Warner Bros has unveiled a fascinating featurette on the making of Creed, the new film from director Ryan Coogler starring Michael B. Jordan as Adonis, Apollo Creed's son. We've already featured a few trailers already and have seen plenty of footage, and it looks great, but this is an interesting behind-the-scenes look at what went into the filmmaking process, the many decisions, their inspirations. Sylvester Stallone is involving in this quite a bit, as the video finally connects directly back to Rocky and even he admits it's a continuation of the legacy of those movies with a new generation. I dig all the footage of Ryan Coogler, he's such a talented director. Can't wait! Welcome to the fall movie season.
Here's the new making of featurette for Ryan Coogler's Creed, found in high def from Apple:
Creed is directed by Ryan Coogler (Fruitvale Station) from a script he co-wrote with Aaron Covington. Adonis Johnson (Michael B. Jordan) never knew his father, world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed, who died before he was born. But boxing is in his blood, so he tracks Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) down and asks him to be his trainer, despite his insistence that he is out of the fight game for good. With Rocky in his corner, it isn’t long before Adonis gets his own shot at the title. But can he develop not only the drive but also the heart of a true fighter? Warner Bros & MGM release the film at Thanksgiving on November 25th. Your legacy is more than a name. For more updates on Ryan Coogler's Creed, follow them @creedmovie.
