Briefly: A24 has scheduled a release date for one of this year's indie breakouts - Jeremy Saulnier's Green Room, featuring Anton Yelchin and Imogen Poots, as well as Patrick Stewart as a white supremacist. The film premiered at the Director's Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival and also played at the Toronto Film Festival and Fantastic Fest. Our writer Marco reviewed it at TIFF, and Jeremy reviewed the film out of Fantastic Fest, saying, "Stewart's incredible performance could be viewed as the high mark for the film, but Green Room excels at so much it's just one of an endless stream of positive notes." It's a very violent film but apparently one of the best genre flicks to debut this year. A24 will release Green Room limited starting April 1st, 2016, with a nationwide expansion arriving on April 15th, 2016. Stay tuned for the trailer next.
