Next week brings the arrival of Disney's new live-action telling of the classic fairytale Cinderella , and the following week will see The Divergent Series: Insurgent hitting theaters. Both films are also getting releases on the IMAX screen as the giant format aims to expand beyond their normal, giant blockbuster fare (though the latter fits more into that parameters than Cinderella). And if you're seeing either of these films at a Regal Entertainment Group IMAX theater (one of the big chains doing The Ultimate Marvel Marathon), you can get your hands on these posters during opening weekend while supplies last. Look!
Here's the IMAX poster for Cinderella that you can get opening weekend at Regal theaters:
Cinderella is directed by Kenneth Branagh (Thor, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit) and written by Aline Brosh McKenna (Annie, The Devil Wears Prada) and Chris Weitz (About a Boy, Antz). The story follows young Ella (Lily James) whose father remarries following the death of her mother. Eager to support her loving father, Ella welcomes her new stepmother (Cate Blanchett) and her daughters Anastasia (Holliday Grainger) and Drisella (Sophie McShera) into the family home. But, when Ella's father unexpectedly dies, she finds herself at the mercy of a jealous and cruel new family. But a fairytale love with the kingdom's Prince (Richard Madden) might be her way out. Disney releases the film early next spring on March 13th, 2015 .
And here's the IMAX poster for The Divergent Series: Insurgent available starting March 19th:
The Divergent Series: Insurgent is directed by Robert Schwentke (RED) and written by Brian Duffield (Jane Got a Gun) and Akiva Goldsman (I Am Legend). Tris (Shailene Woodley) and Four (Theo James) are now fugitives on the run, hunted by Jeanine (Kate Winslet), the leader of the power-hungry Erudite elite. Racing against time, they must find out what Tris’s family sacrificed their lives to protect, and why the Erudite leaders will do anything to stop them. Haunted by her past choices but desperate to protect the ones she loves, Tris, with Four at her side, faces one impossible challenge after another as they unlock the truth about the past and ultimately the future of their world. The sequel arrives on March 20, 2015 .
