An Unfortunate Christmas Typo Created ‘Dear Satan’

By Jacob Oller

We all make mistakes. Just not like this.

When a kid accidentally addresses her Christmas letter to Satan instead of Santa, things begin to pop off in this short animation. Dear Satan, narrated by Patrick Stewart, is a hilariously deadpan bit of holiday vulgarity.

The fiery animation style, looking like it crawled out of an Adult Swim cartoon with all its skulls, tattoos, and demons, compliments the goofy tale of metal and Hell. In heartwarming holiday tradition, Satan’s plight is one of compassion and it’s an absurd and delightful yarn.

If you’re looking for something a little different this holiday season, Dear Satan is the cheeky, demonic answer to the overly-sweet woes brought by the revelers.
