We’re not far from shipping a few of our troops off to Utah for the Sundance Film Festival, but here we are already talking about March. First it was the trailer for Daredevil season 2, which will debut on March 18. And now we’re getting some great news for the South by Southwest Film Festival, which will be going on by the time Daredevil enters our Netflix queues.
According to Movies.com, SXSW has announced the premieres of five new films for the 2016 edition of the fest. These are in addition to Richard Linklater’s Everybody Wants Some, which was previously announced as the opening night film. You’ll find the list of new films below. A few of these are very big, including our own #1 most anticipated film of 2016, Jeff Nichols’ Midnight Special. The debut of the new AMC show Preacher is another highly anticipated property that should be a big draw, as is the Judd Apatow-produced Pee-wee’s Big Holiday, which features Paul Reubens’ return to the role alongside Magic Mike‘s Joe Manganiello. All five of these films will likely end up high on our list. Just read the description for Chevalier…
