Joyeux Noel! Gledelig Jul! Froehliche Weihnachten! Mele Kalikimaka! From all of us at FirstShowing.net, we want to wish every one our readers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays! Whether you're with your family or with friends or whether it's snowing or sunny, we hope you have a wonderful week. For those that follow the tradition of seeing a movie on Christmas Day, we hope you enjoy your selection this year with a very diverse sets of films - a space opera, animation, comedies, powerful dramas, and everything inbetween. News and trailers always slow down during the holidays, but we'll be back at it again in 2016.
Playing in theaters now is, as we all already know, J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but there's also The Revenant, Tarantino's The Hateful Eight, Joy, Concussion, plus one of the best films of the year: Son of Saul. Next year's Christmas line-up looks quite promising, too. In theaters on Christmas Day in 2016: Jonathan Liebesman's new re-imaging of Jumanji, plus Tim Burton's Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. There's also Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (even more Star Wars!) opening the week before, plus Assassin's Creed with Fassbender, and Morten Tyldum's sci-fi Passengers as well.
