We’re supposed to be working.
But dammit, we are now mesmerized. Something so profoundly weird is happening that it broke our team focus, as seen in this screenshot from our team Slack chat:
Child actor, plagiarist and performance artist Shia LaBeouf is currently on his next weird thing, which includes live-streaming a view of him watching all of his movies in reverse chronological order. At the time of this publication, we are watching him eat popcorn and watch Man Down, the 2015 post-apocalyptic film from director Dito Montiel (A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints). There’s no sound. No commentary. Just Shia and whomever has decided to join him on his journey. Which apparently includes anyone who has nothing better to do. As per the #AllMyMovies page:
“From noon on 10th November 2015, #ALLMYMOVIES by LaBeouf, Rönkkö & Turner will commence
at the Angelika Film Center, 18 West Houston Street, NYC.
Visitors are invited to join Shia LaBeouf in person as he watches all his movies consecutively in
reverse chronological order over the next three days, 24 hours a day (admission free).
At the same time, a live stream will continuously broadcast the performance above.”
I have to hand it to LaBeouf. For someone who could have simply faded away after a few bad movies, he’s found a weird way to hold our attention. Will we continue watching to see if he picks his nose? Or checks his cellphone? Will someone show up in the background doing something strange or self-promoting? (First person to show up in a Storm of Spoilers t-shirt wins my eternal affection.)
Watch along with us here. Unless you have something better to do. Which apparently is not an affliction we share.
