Another 'The Force Awakens' TV Spot Teases Finn & Rey's Friendship

"Nothing will stand in our way. I'll show them the Dark Side." One more TV spot with some fresh footage for those who are still watching. Lucasfilm debuted this TV spot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, directed by J.J. Abrams, during primtetime last night featuring a few bits of footage. More than anything this focuses on the friendship that we'll see grow between Rey, played by Daisy Ridley, and Finn, played by John Boyega. There's also an awesome moment where Han hands Rey a lightsaber, and that's not revealing much beyond hinting where this story might be going. I also love the flute theme at the beginning of this spot, so lovely. I get chills the more we see! Only a few more weeks to go until The Force reawakens.

Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, continuing the beloved original trilogy about Luke, Leia, Han & Chewie that ended in 1983, is directed by J.J. Abrams, of the films Mission: Impossible 3, Star Trek, Super 8 and Star Trek Into Darkness. The screenplay is written by Lawrence Kasdan (Empire Strikes Back, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Return of the Jedi, The Big Chill, The Bodyguard) and J.J. Abrams, with Kathleen Kennedy from Lucasfilm producing. This debut is the beginning of a brand new saga, with another trilogy planned for this storyline, with Rian Johnson and Colin Trevorrow lined up to direct. Disney, after acquiring Lucasfilm in 2012, will release Star Wars: The Force Awakens in theaters worldwide on December 18th.
