"I want chemo therapy!" Roadside Attractions has debuted a charming trailer for the indie comedy Miss You Already, starring Toni Collette and Drew Barrymore as two life-long inseparable friends entering their 40s. But then there's a twist - one of them gets cancer, but together they keep each other's hopes up. The film is premiering at the Toronto Film Festival this month and is the latest from director Catherine Hardwicke, who we haven't seen much of since Red Riding Hood a few years ago. But this looks like a story close to the heart. The cast includes Dominic Cooper, Paddy Considine & Tyson Ritter. Give it a look.
Here's the first trailer for Catherine Hardwicke's Miss You Already, direct from Roadside's YouTube:
An honest and powerful story following two best friends, Milly (Collette) and Jess (Barrymore), as they navigate life’s highs and lows. Inseparable since they were young girls, they can’t remember a time they didn’t share everything – secrets, clothes, even boyfriends – but nothing prepares them for the day Milly is hit with life-altering news. A story for every modern woman, Miss You Already celebrates the bond of true friendship that ultimately can never be broken, even in life’s toughest moments. Miss You Already is directed by American filmmaker Catherine Hardwicke, of Thirteen, Lords of Dogtown, The Nativity Story, Twilight, Red Riding Hood and Plush previously. The screenplay is by actress Morwenna Banks. After premiering at TIFF, Roadside will open Miss You Already in select theaters starting November 7th.
