A voice not unlike Stephen Hawking’s introduces us to the universe and eventually to the human mind, which it calls one of the pinnacles of evolution. Zoom out a bit and we’re face to face once again with Derek Zoolander, who is coming back for another round in Zoolander 2. It’s funny that the trailer let’s us believe that we’re listening to Hawking, but there’s a small disclaimer in the title treatment that credits Narration by DecTalk – Derek. Paramount probably doesn’t want to be sued by Hawking once he realizes he’s been loosely affiliated with Ben Stiller’s next foray into the world of idiot male models. Which begs the question…
Would Stephen Hawking watch Zoolander?
Doubtful. He has plenty of other things to do to further our understanding of the universe. I don’t think he’s going to be anxiously awaiting the February 12th release of Zoolander 2. Or 2oolander. Or whatever it’s called.
Think about that for a moment — this movie comes out right alongside Deadpool. That’s going to be an interesting weekend at your local cineplex. Lots of red and black and blue steel. We can’t wait.
