"Every punch I've ever thrown has been on my own." Warner Bros has debuted the first must see trailer for Ryan Coogler's Creed, a follow-up to the Rocky movies starring Sylvester Stallone as Rocky. He appears in the film since he fought Apollo Creed throughout so many of the original films. Creed's son decides to go all the way in boxing, and asks for Rocky's to train him. Michael B. Jordan stars in a once-in-a-lifetime performance as Adonis Creed, also including Sly Stallone, Graham McTavish, Tessa Thompson and Phylicia Rashad. I think this looks phenomenal, one of my most anticipated movies coming up this fall. I'm a huge fan of Ryan Coogler and it looks like he's really making an unforgettable film. Take a look below!
Here's the first official trailer for Ryan Coogler's Creed, direct from Warner Bros' YouTube:
Creed is directed by Ryan Coogler (Fruitvale Station) from a script he co-wrote with Aaron Covington. Adonis Johnson (Michael B. Jordan) never knew his father, world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed, who died before he was born. But boxing is in his blood, so he tracks Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) down and asks him to be his trainer, despite his insistence that he is out of the fight game for good. With Rocky in his corner, it isn’t long before Adonis gets his own shot at the title. But can he develop not only the drive but also the heart of a true fighter? Warner Bros & MGM release the film at Thanksgiving on November 25th. Your legacy is more than a name. For more updates on Ryan Coogler's Creed, follow them @creedmovie.
