First Trailer for Coast Guard Drama 'The Finest Hours' with Chris Pine

The Finest Hours Trailer

"I'm not giving up on him! Not on my watch." Disney has unveiled the first trailer for The Finest Hours, a Coast Guard drama about the most daring rescue mission in U.S. Coast Guard history. Chris Pine stars, along with Ben Foster, Eric Bana, Holliday Grainger and Graham McTavish. This trailer definitely has a Perfect Storm vibe to it, but there's also some history to the story since this takes place in the 1950s. It actually looks pretty good, with some strong performances, but there are a few odd scenes tossed in that I'm just not sure what to make of yet. I'm curious to take a look. Always down for inspirational tales of tenacity.

Here's the first official trailer for Craig Gillespie's The Finest Hours, direct from YouTube:

The Coast Guard makes a daring rescue attempt off the coast of Cape Cod after a pair of oil tankers are destroyed during a blizzard in 1952. Billed as "The Most Daring Rescue in U.S. Coast Guard History." This was filmed mostly around Massachusetts. The Finest Hours is directed by filmmaker Craig Gillespie, of the films Million Dollar Arm, Fright Night, Lars and the Real Girl and Mr. Woodcock previously. The screenplay is written by Eric Johnson & Paul Tamasy. Walt Disney Studios will release The Finest Hours in theaters around the world starting January 29th, 2016 early next year. Anyone interested in seeing this?
