Briefly: Because a studio just can't refuse to do a sequel to a horror film that made even a little bit of money at the box office, Universal Pictures has announced that Ouija 2 will arrive on October 21st, 2016. The Blumhouse Pictures project was announced yesterday, though there are no details on where the new franchise will go story wise. Platinum Dunes will be back to produce again with Mike Flanagan and Jeff Howard (Oculus) scripting the sequel. There's also no word on whether any of the cast members from the first film, such as Olivia Cooke and Douglas Smith, will be back in any capacity. Stay tuned for more soon.
