First Time Fest, which runs this year through March 9, is now in its third edition, and the festival continues its mission to support and spotlight first-time filmmakers with a competition (grand prize is distribution by Cinema Libre Studio), panels, networking opportunities, and other events. Screenings and panels will be held at a number of venues, including Core Club, the Wild Project, Village East Cinema, B Bar & Grill, and the Gansevoort Park Ave NYC.The festival closes with an awards ceremony on March 9 at Gansevoort Park Ave NYC, featuring a tribute to Harvey Weinstein in honor of his support of first time filmmakers.
