The director and break out star of ‘Girls Trip’ crash this Kevin Hart vehicle.
Kevin Hart may be one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars, but his next comedy is all about the appeal of his leading lady as she re-teams with the filmmaker who helped shoot her to stardom. Tiffany Haddish is following up her breakout success in Girls Trip as Hart’s comedic sparring partner in Night School, which is also directed by Girls Trip helmer Malcolm D. Lee and shares a producer with that hit movie in William Packer.
Packer is also a regular collaborator of Hart, having produced the Ride Along movies as well as Think Like a Man and its sequel, The Wedding Ringer, and the About Last Night remake. This will be only his second picture with Lee and Haddish, and altogether it’s sure to be a winning combination. The funny thing is Night School was likely intended to be focused on Hart alone but now is being sold as much on Haddish’s newfound drawing power.
The first trailer, below, already offers plenty of banter and even a bit of brawling between Haddish and Hart, and we can’t wait to see more of them fighting over the spotlight. Watch:
