This movie is taking all our money.
There’s a new trailer for Ocean’s 8, and it shows more footage as if we still actually need anything more than a list of the names of the actresses on board. Of course, the last reworking of an Ocean’s movie, Steven Soderbergh’s own Logan Lucky, should have performed too.
This spot does give a little more hint of the roles each of the women are playing and the roles those characters are tasked with on screen. But are we still meant to think Anne Hathaway‘s celebrity character isn’t somehow involved in the heist of the $150 million necklace she’s wearing?
That’d be pretty silly if that subway shot where’s obviously a member of the 8, which was the first officially revealed image for the movie, was a twist reveal.
Hopefully there’s more to the story than that, because with this much talent on display portraying women as clever as this octet looks, I’m hoping not to feel robbed in the end.
