Ghosts, ghouls, and maybe some kind of goat creature come calling in IFC’s new horror anthology.
We really don’t get enough horror anthologies these days as even the lesser ones typically manage some genre fun as they shift between tales of terror. IFC Midnight is entering the fray in a big way this month with the acclaimed UK release, Ghost Stories.
The film comes courtesy of British TV vets Jeremy Dyson & Andy Nyman, and it centers on a famed debunker of the paranormal who’s tasked with disproving three horrific brushes with the beyond. Martin Freeman stars in the third tale as a man who shares the terrifying memory of what happened after the unfortunate birth of his first child. It’s the section of the film that brings the whole together into one frightening experience, and we’ve got an exclusive clip featuring Freeman’s character spending time in a totally not at all creepy nursery.
