Ryan Reynolds continues to deliver the goods via Twitter.
Deadpool 2 is still a while away. It will drop into theaters sometime in 2018 and is currently shooting, so there’s not a whole lot that we know about its story. We know that it will introduce two characters from the Merc with a Mouth’s extended comics family, Domino (played by Zazie Beetz) and Cable (played by Josh Brolin). And now, thanks to the film’s star and his glorious twitter account, we know what those two characters will look like.
There’s the one who knows how to work a red carpet:

Simply delivering great character design doesn’t guarantee a great movie, but there are plenty of other variables working in Deadpool 2‘s favor. For one, the success of the first movie was based on its irreverence, its dalliances with breaking the fourth wall, and the charisma and passion of its leading man. It was different. It was vulgar and violent. If the second movie is just these things, it will be a worthy successor.
But there’s more to it. The film’s director David Leitch just delivered the ass-kicker of summer 2017 with Atomic Blonde, proving that he’s the right kind of crazy to tackle the expectedly amped-up action of this sequel. It’s enough to get us hoping that we get some long take, close quarters action sequences involving Mr. Pool, his new friends, and some guys in brown pants.
Leitch also directed this post-credits teaser that played with Logan.
