All 8 'Harry Potter' Movies Playing in IMAX For One Week This Month

Harry Potter Movies

"It is the quality of ones convictions that determines success, not the number of followers." Warner Bros has announced that all eight of the Harry Potter movies, from Sorcerer's Stone to Deathly Hallows 1 & 2, will be re-released in IMAX theaters for one week only later this month. As a cross-promotion for J.K. Rowling's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, WB will be updating and showing the eight movies in IMAX from October 13th until the 20th. The screening series will kick off with a special Fantastic Beasts event on October 13th (more info on that here) and continue with screenings every day. You can catch any of the movies individually, or buy day passes and other packages. Don't miss out on this special IMAX event.

The eight original Harry Potter movies are: Sorcerer's Stone (2001), Chamber of Secrets (2002), Prisoner of Azkaban (2004), Goblet of Fire (2005), Order of the Phoenix (2007), Half-Blood Prince (2009), Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010), and Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011). Each one is screening every day at various times, including the middle of the night (check your local IMAX theater for more info). The screenings will also include an "exclusive peek" at Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which hits IMAX theaters this November. Tickets will be available by means of four separate possibilities: Single Ticket; Day Access (admittance to three or more shows in a single day); Four-Show Access (admittance to four shows any time, any day); and Festival Access (unlimited admittance throughout the event). Movies are in IMAX 2D.

You can find and book individual tickets at IMAX theaters on IMAX.com/HarryPotter. If you're ready to book, head over there now and find your nearest theater and the best showtime that works for you. Exact package pricing and other details regarding tickets vary per theater, so find your nearest IMAX and head over there to find out more info. This is obviously designed to promote Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and remind all the Harry Potter fans that this is all part of the same universe. That said - these eight Harry Potter movies are fantastic movies and they're certainly worth seeing on a giant IMAX screen again, especially any you may have missed the first time. Have fun and don't forget to wear your Hogwarts colors.
