Watch: New Featurette on Recording the Score for 'Swiss Army Man'

Swiss Army Man Featurette Score

"The score is a huge part of the movie." A24 has released a new featurette on the making of the score for the craziest corpse movie of the summer, Swiss Army Man, directed by "The Daniels" - Dan Kwan & Daniel Scheinert. The music in the film is by Andy Hull & Robert McDowell, of the band known as Manchester Orchestra. They're also releasing a song in conjunction with the film called "Montage", featuring vocals by stars Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe, which is heard a bit in this new featurette. I'm glad that A24 is profiling different aspects of this film, since there's so much of it that is original, including the score (as they explain in this). If you aren't yet sold on this unique film, maybe these kind of featurettes will help. Enjoy.

Here's the new featurette on the score for The Daniels' Swiss Army Man, from A24's YouTube:

In addition to the featurette, here's another 30-sec promo spot for Swiss Army Man also from YouTube:

You can also go back and watch the first teaser trailer for Swiss Army Man here, or the full red band trailer.

Hank (Paul Dano) is stranded on a deserted island, having given up all hope of ever making it home again. But one day everything changes when a corpse named Manny (Daniel Radcliffe) washes up on shore; the two become fast friends, and ultimately go on an epic adventure that will bring Hank back to the woman of his dreams. "There are 7 billion people on the planet. You might be lucky enough to bump into the one person you want to spend the rest of your life with." Swiss Army Man is both written and directed by filmmaker pair "The Daniels", or Dan Kwan & Daniel Scheinert. This is their first feature after working on shorts and music videos, and it originally premiered at the Sundance Film Festival this year (read my review). A24 will release Swiss Army Man in theaters starting June 24th this summer. Curious?
