"Before we go solve the crime of the century, let's deal with the rotting corpse." Ohh man, I can't wait to see this! Warner Bros has released this totally amazing vintage/retro 70's trailer for The Nice Guys, the new Shane Black action comedy starring Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe. The trailer is made like it was made in the 70s, with grainy footage and lots of cuts and clips of violent moments from the film, plus some cheesy voiceover. We've seen so much footage for this already that I'm so ready to just see it, but I have to say - the marketing for this movie is perfectly spot on. I love everything about this new trailer, right down to the freeze-frame title and vintage ratings card. Only a few more weeks left to go until this is in theaters.

The Nice Guys is co-written and directed by filmmaker Shane Black, screenwriter of the Lethal Weapon series, The Monster Squad, Last Action Hero, and director of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Marvel's Iron Man 3 previously. The screenplay is also co-written by Anthony Bagarozzi. "It is an R-rated film and it's a caper," Black told People. "It's a little fast, a little funny and a little rough in places, kind of coarse. These guys are working-class dudes, they're not really sophisticated private detectives, so it's a chance to do the kind of thriller I don't see too much of anymore." It's more than just noir. "It's a little bit pushed – the premise, the time period, everything is a little crazy." WB will release The Nice Guys on May 20th early this summer.
