There are six weeks left until the 88th Academy Awards. That may seem like enough time to watch all of the nominees, but there are 57 movies contending for Oscars this year and only 41 days until the big event. Fortunately, 15 of them are short films, and if you’re any kind of movie fan you’ve already seen a good number of the below titles.
We are certain that none of you have seen everything, however, and so we’re here to help you fill in the gaps and complete your Academy Awards checklist. Most of the 57 should be available in some legal way before the ceremony on February 28th, and we’ve included upcoming release dates for those not easily accessible this instant. We can update as needed through next month.
If you finish early and you want extra credit, you’ll have to seek out all the films of Honorary Academy Awards winners Spike Lee, Gena Rowlands and Debbie Reynolds.
