While two of the nation’s largest police unions are busy boycotting Quentin Tarantino, the rest of us will be over here watching this new The Hateful Eight trailer.
The new trailer, which follows an excellent trailer released in August, puts Samuel L. Jackson’s “The Bounty Hunter” at the center of it all. And there’s really nothing quite like a trailer in which Jackson gets to monologue, parlay and wave loaded weapons around all while sporting some epic facial hair. In a normal setting, that might be enough to set the world of nerddom ablaze.
But wait, there’s more. Kurt Russell’s mustache! Walton Goggins! The absolutely trailer-stealing charm of Jennifer Jason Leigh. Tim Roth’s menacing smirk. Michael Madsen showing up to (we can only assume) do something horrific. Bruce Dern as a former Confederate General!
Aw hell, just watch this trailer with the same fervor that you had while watching the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer. We’re just as excited about returning to Tarantino’s world as we are for a return visit to a galaxy far, far away.
The Hateful Eight opens in limited release on Christmas Day, with a wide release set for January 8, 2016.
