All of creation is at stake. All of heaven is at war. Whoa! Summit has debuted the first epic trailer for Alex Proyas' Gods of Egypt, an action-adventure inspired by the classic mythology of Egypt. The ensemble cast of Gods includes Gerard Butler as Set, God of the Desert; Brenton Thwaites as Bek, Thief of Legend; Chadwick Boseman as Thoth, God of Wisdom; Elodie Yung as Hathor, Goddess of Love; and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Horus, God of the Sky. This looks crazy, and I'm not sure I mean that in a good way. It sort of reminds me of some kind of weird mash-up between Jupiter Ascending and Exodus: Gods & Kings. There are so many epic shots, so many fantastical elements. I will say - they got me with those giant snakes.
