Just in Time - Fun Trailers for 'Jaws 19' + Pepsi Perfect from 'BTTF II'

Jaws 19 Trailer

This time, it's really, really personal. In a few weeks it'll be the actual date that Marty McFly reached when he traveled far into the future in Back to the Future II. This one is fact-checked (unlike the bogus social media meme) and the official date of arrival is October 21st, 2015. Everyone is scrambling to actual make the items featured in that future, including the hoverboard. Pepsi has just announced they're making and actually selling "Pepsi Perfect", which was seen in the movie. And to join in on the fun, Universal made a trailer for Max Spielberg's Jaws 19, one of the many sequels playing in the future. Both companies made short joke trailers, with a bookend reminder of the new Blu-ray release also hitting on October 21st. Enjoy!

Here's the fun trailer for Max Spielberg's Jaws 19, originally teased in BTTF II, now on YouTube today:

And here's the spoof trailer for Pepsi Perfect unveiled by Pepsi, another product from BTTF II's 2015:

All of these products are timed around that October 21st date. If you really love Jaws 19, you can even buy a t-shirt from Last Exit to Nowhere. Pepsi will be selling the special Pepsi Perfect limited edition for $20.15 per 16.9 oz bottle (compared to $50 that Marty paid in the movie). It will be released online in a limited run of 6,500 bottles. Lexus recently tried to pull off making a working hoverboard, but the demo model was still a glorified gimmick. If only! Nike is also apparently working on releasing the automatic lace-up sneakers from the movie, even though they made some one-off light-up versions a few years ago. While all of this is just marketing and promotion, it's fun to see companies actually try to connect with fans. The future is now.
