"The wheels on the bus go ’round and ’round…" Gulf Film has debuted the first full trailer for action thriller Bus 657, about a desperate father's bus heist gone wrong. Jeffrey Dean Morgan stars as the hijacker, a father without the means to pay for his daughter's medical treatment. Robert De Niro plays kingpin "The Pope" and the cast includes Dave Bautista, Kate Bosworth, Gina Carano, Morris Chestnut and D.B. Sweeney. While this seems to be bordering on straight-to-DVD quality, I don't think it looks awful. I like the way this trailer is cut to the music, and focuses on the action more than anything. Give it a look below.
Here's the first official trailer for Scott Mann's Bus 657, found on YouTube (via The Playlist):
A father is without the means to pay for his daughter's medical treatment. As a last resort, he partners with a greedy co-worker to rob a casino. When things go awry they're forced to hijack a city bus. Bus 657 is directed by filmmaker Scott Mann, of the action movie The Tournament previously. The screenplay is written by Stephen Cyrus Sepher and Max Adams. The film has yet to premiere officially or show up at any festivals or otherwise; it's set for release in Russia this October. It was filmed mostly in Alabama. Lionsgate will release Bus 657 in the US, but no date has been set. Stay tuned for more on this. Anyone interested?
