Watch: Full US Trailer for Gabriele Muccino's 'Fathers & Daughters'

Fathers & Daughters

"We'll be fine." "Pinky swear?" To follow-up the Japanese trailer we featured yesterday, Voltage Pictures has debuted the official US trailer for Gabriele Muccino's Fathers and Daughters, the drama starring Russell Crowe and Amanda Seyfried. The film takes place across two different storylines, one set in the 1980s with Crowe raising his daughter, the other set at current day with his daughter now grown up struggling to connect with her boyfriend, played by Aaron Paul. This is a slightly different version of the trailer from the other day, with many of the same moments, and a few more scenes and alternate music. I still prefer Crowe's storyline with the younger daughter more than the other one with Seyfried. Take a look.

Here's the US trailer (+ poster) for Gabriele Muccino's Fathers & Daughters, from Voltage's YouTube:

Fathers & Daughters Poster

A Pulitzer-winning writer (Crowe) grapples with being a widower and father after a mental breakdown, while, 27 years later, his grown daughter (Seyfried) struggles to forge connections of her own. Fathers and Daughters is directed by Italian filmmaker Gabriele Muccino, of the films Playing for Keeps, Kiss Me Again, Seven Pounds, The Pursuit of Happyness, Remember Me My Love and The Last Kiss previously. The screenplay was written by Brad Desch. The film will be opening in Japan this October (where the trailer is from), but the US release has yet to be figured out. Stay tuned for updates on the release. Your thoughts?
