Watch: 80's VHS 'Fantastic Four' Trailer with Roger Corman Footage

Fantastic Four

"With every new discovery there is risk…" Check out this amusing old school VHS remix trailer for a totally different Fantastic Four movie. Vulture has remixed and recut footage from the campy Roger Corman Fantastic Four movie made in the early 90s that was never distributed. Josh Trank's take on Fantastic Four hits theaters in a few more weeks, and seems to be a very dark, very grounded take on "what if this really happened to these four people". This version is the total opposite, a glossy and fantastical take on four superheroes trying to save the world. It looks so cheesy and bad I'm even more excited for this year's movie.

Thanks to SlashFilm for the tip on this. From YouTube: "Superhero movies are too dark. Wouldn't Fantastic Four be better with day-glo VHS insanity? We imagine a better world in this week's 'Vulture Remix' (with help from the never-distributed Fantastic Four movie produced by Roger Corman in the early 90s)." This group has also made remixes of old trailers for other movies, including most recently Marvel's Ant-Man as well. These are fun to see, especially when they use footage that we haven't all seen before, like this trailer remix. Josh Trank's new Fantastic Four hits theaters everywhere starting August 7th next month. Going?
