Be cool.
That’s the message being put out into the world by this latest promo image from Deadpool, the currently in post-production Ryan Reynolds movie that will be a gift to the world. Deadpool appears to be in the midst of an action sequence that involves a flipped car and a guy (behind the titular hero) who appears to have been beaten.
That’s about the deepest analysis we can give to a single image from a movie without a trailer. Here’s what matters: the image comes from Entertainment Weekly, flanked by a quote from producer Simon Kinberg that reinforces what has us most excited about Deadpool:
“Deadpool is a hard R […] It’s graphic. Nothing is taboo. You either commit to a truly outrageous boundary-pushing kind of movie or you don’t.”
All of that sounds good. So be cool, as Deadpool arrives in theaters Valentine’s Day weekend of 2016. For the lovers.
