Rosamund Pike Stars in 'Return to Sender' Thriller First Full Trailer

Return to Sender

"You expect me to cry, scream, say 'dear God, why me?!' …That's not me." The first trailer for Return to Sender has debuted, and we probably wouldn't be interested if it didn't star Rosamund Pike (of Gone Girl, The World's End, Jack Reacher). The plot is simple: A nurse living in small town goes on a blind date with a man who is not the person he says he is. Pike plays that "meticulous small-town nurse" and it looks like she's got some fun tricks up her sleeve, too. The cast includes Rumer Willis, Nick Nolte and Shiloh Fernandez. This doesn't look particularly impressive, but at least maybe the performances will be good.

Here's the first official trailer for Fouad Mikati's Return to Sender, found on YouTube:

From the original casting story on THR, the script is about "a meticulous small-town nurse (Pike) who falls victim to a life-altering event after she goes on a blind date with a man (Fernandez) who turns out not to be who he says he is. She must find the strength and courage to rebuild her life and return to her former self." Seems like she gets a little anxious for revenge. Return to Sender is directed by filmmaker Fouad Mikati, of the thriller Operation: Endgame previously, from a screenplay by Patricia Beauchamp and Joe Gossett. The film will be released sometime in 2015, but we have no other details on a US release or debut. Stay tuned.
