"I've never even heard of the original Vacation…" Back to Walley World they go! Warner Bros has finally debuted the first official trailer, thankfully a red band to show you how vulgar this R-rated sequel is, for the raunchy comedy Vacation. From writers-turned-directors John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein, this continuation of National Lampoon's Vacation series picks up with Ed Helms as Rusty Griswold when he's older, now with his own family, taking a return trip vacation to Walley World just like he did when he was a kid. Oh boy. I wish there was more footage in this, but it still looks like fun and I love the connection to the original throughout. Christina Applegate, Chris Hemsworth, Leslie Mann, Regina Hall also star.
Here's the first red band trailer for Warner Bros' new Vacation, direct from Comedy Central:
Vacation is written and directed by John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein, the writers of Horrible Bosses and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, making their directorial debut. In the follow-up to the original comedy franchise from National Lampoon, this new installment finds a grown up Rusty Griswold (Ed Helms) planning a road trip to Walley World in order to spice things up with his wife (Christina Applegate) and reconnect with his sons. Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo return as Clark & Ellen Griswold and Chris Hemsworth and Leslie Mann also star in the film. Warner Bros will open Vacation on July 31st.
