Briefly: Marvel is following up with some big news they've been holding onto, waiting until Avengers: Age of Ultron has opened in theaters. The next movie they're making is Captain America: Civil War, which while is a sequel to Captain America: The Winter Soldier, it continues after Age of Ultron and seems to be more of a setup for Infinity War down the line. We've been writing about casting for months (including Martin Freeman this week) but now they've confirmed a complete synopsis and complete cast. And included in the cast is one Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, along with Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.

"Captain America: Civil War" picks up where "Avengers: Age of Ultron" left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.
After his debut in Marvel’s "Ant-Man" on July 17, 2015, Paul Rudd ("Ant-Man," "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues") will make his first appearance alongside the Avengers as Scott Lang/Ant-Man in "Captain America: Civil War."
The rest of the cast for Captain America: Civil War includes everyone from Age of Ultron: The film returns Chris Evans , Robert Downey Jr., plus Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle and Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch. They also list Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo as Crossbones, William Hurt as General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross and Martin Freeman. This is quite the line-up for the next Captain America movie, but considering where they're leading with Infinity Wars (and IMAX cameras!) this means it's more about the MCU Civil War than it is about Cap. Marvel's Civil War hits theaters May 6th, 2016.
