On visiting Yubari, Japan for the first time, visitors never fail to be impressed by the stunning paintings of classic movie posters that litter the streets. Legends of Hollywood mingle with yakuza, samurai and assorted stars of Japan's rich cinematic history on boards that litter the streets, gazing out from across building tops and peaking out from behind mounds of snow.Filmmmaker Iitsuka Takashi took his own inspiration from the paintings and channeled it into making the brilliant short that was played before every screening at this year's festival.
