There are very, very few times we would ever even consider posting anything from "Extra", but this is one of those times. "Extra" host Mario Lopez traveled up to Vancouver to visit the set of the Deadpool movie, which is currently filming, and sat down for a one-on-one chat with star Ryan Reynolds. Yes, this sounds cheesy, but because it's Deadpool and he breaks the fourth wall and messes around with everyone, there's some fun elements to this otherwise bland "Extra" segment. It's also cool to see Ryan so excited to be talking about finally making an R-rated Deadpool movie. I'm glad they're embracing the character in all his glory.
Deadpool is directed by visual effects veteran Tim Miller, making his feature directing debut, with a script from Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Ryan Reynolds reprises the titular character he originated in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, a disfigured and mentally unstable mercenary known for his or his sarcastic, talkative nature and his tendency to break the fourth wall. The film will alsoinclude T.J. Miller ("Silicon Valley), Morena Baccarin ("Homeland"), Gina Carano (Haywire) and Ed Skein (The Transporter Refueled). Production is now underway and 20th Century Fox releases it next year February 16th, 2016.
